Join Karen Cronje of Miss la Motte to learn how to understand and knit brioche ~ A wonderful, textured colourwork technique which makes fabric with great stretch and is reversible!.
In this class you will learn all the techniques involved in brioche knitting including: The best cast on for Brioche, Brioche knitting in the round and tips for shaping as well as keeping your knitting on track. Techniques practiced can be used to knit a beautiful hat project for which you will receive the pattern and Miss la Motte yarn.

- 2 session course ~ 9:30am 2pm on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th June.
- Workshop yarn ~ 2x 100g gram skeins of Miss la Motte yarn (worth R380)
- Hat pattern (from Ravelry) to knit your first brioche project!
- Tea and tea snacks
To bring:
- Circular needle/s you have in sizes 3mm, 3.25mm, 3.5mm, 3.75mm, 4mm {Karen will check your gauge to see which needle size is best for you — the pattern calls for 3.5mm} *available at Natural Yarns on the day if you don’t have any needles.
- Lunch is “bring and share” — There are lovely food items available at Imhoff Farm Village if you want to get something from there to share.
Level:
Intermediate. Students should have a good grasp of knit and purl and be comfortable knitting in round.
