Westing Bridge LLC is a family-owned business established by four brothers, with its ChiaoGoo brand of knitting and crochet tools designed and distributed from Troy, Michigan, and manufactured in Hangzhou, China. The family originates from Linan, China, known as the “Bamboo Capital,” where their grandfather and father were bamboo craftsmen. The father started a bamboo workshop in the 1980s, producing household goods, primarily bamboo knitting needles inspired by their skilled knitting mother—also the namesake for the ChiaoGoo brand, which means “highly skillful and crafty lady.”

In the 1990s, the family expanded for international distribution. By 2005, they formalized the manufacturing in China under Hangzhou Westing Bridge LLC and established Westing Bridge LLC in the U.S. for global marketing. Today, ChiaoGoo is a globally respected brand, known for high-quality knitting and crochet tools.

Metal head crochet Hooks: These flat-handled, metal head hooks (not in-line) fit comfortably in your hand. Hook heads up to size C/2.75mm are nickel plated. Sizes D/3mm and larger are made of aluminum.

Tunisian interchangeable hooks made of Moso Bamboo available in sizes E/4 (3.5mm) – N/15 (10mm), including size 7 (4.5mm). Join is made of stainless steel.

NOTE: Tunisian interchangeable hooks require cables and cable end stoppers – purchase separately.

ChiaoGoo Fixed Circular Needles

Fixed length circular needles in Stainless Steel / Bamboo in various fixed lengths.

RED Lace™ surgical stainless steel circulars have a smooth, satin-sheen finish and memory-free, multi-strand, steel, nylon-coated, red cable. Lace tips are machine-precisioned. Needle size is laser imprinted on each circular.

Patina Bamboo circulars have fantastic joins and pliable, clear, nylon cables. They have a nickel-plated, copper join. Sizes 3 (3.25 mm) and larger are crimped to guarantee no separation AND they swivel! Sizes 0 (2 mm) through 2.5 (3 mm) have the same memory-free cable as our RED circulars and TWIST cables! Needle size is permanently laser imprinted on each circular.
